Audra and Chris were married on March 15, 2020 at the beautiful Medaloni Cellars in Lewisville, NC. To start the day, we met up with Audra at Mickey & Co. Hair Designs in King, NC where she and her bridesmaids were getting ready for the wedding day with hair and makeup. From there, the whole party went to Medaloni Cellars to finish getting ready, relax, and get dressed in the bridal suite, which is a well appointed cabin onsite. It's also a great place to do some portraits on the porch, providing wonderful natural light.

Medaloni Cellar's has beautiful Rolling grassy hills, with indoor and outdoor spaces with rustic charm. The entrance to the property include gorgeous signage with well landscaped gardens and places where you can see the wine barrels as well. This beautiful location provided the amazing backdrop for the days events. After we photographed Chris and the groomsmen getting ready, including some great shots of their awesome pocket watches and flasks, we moved on to get Audra's finishing touches. We had sweet moments with Audra and her bridal party. Her mother helped her get ready, and then she showed off her amazing dress to her father. The two of them shared such an emotional moment when she gave him a letter and the two of them shared some joyful tears. Just before the ceremony our couple had a beautiful moment to squeeze hands and tell each other they couldn't wait to get married while they shared a first touch. 

The ceremony took place inside the main room at Medaloni Cellars. With their wedding alter being set up in front of a beautifully decorated fireplace, guests found their seats and waited to watch the procession of the wedding party and family. The couple's children were involved in the ceremony, with their daughter handing out flowers to honored family members as she walked down the aisle instead of the more traditional scattering of flower petals. The couple handed roses to their mothers, and besides exchanging rings, they also shared a beautiful hand fasting ceremony performed by Liz of All Faiths Wedding Officiants of the Triad. The ceremony wrapped up with a wonderful moment with the couple and their two daughters before sealing their vows with a kiss. 

Guests went to cocktail hour while I borrowed the couple and their wedding party for a couple of portraits. We really were able to take advantage of all of the architecture and scenery that the venue had to offer. Janelle Finnley of J.F. Event Planning did a fantastic job keeping everything on time and on point, ensuring a calm and enjoyable wedding day experience for the couple and the vendors alike. The transformation of the Main Room from a ceremony space to a reception space, complete with dance floor on the covered patio, was completed by the awesome venue staff. They quickly transitioned the ceremony space into a reception space while the guests enjoyed cocktail hour.

The guests once again greeted the wedding party while Greg from Winston Salem DJ's introduced everyone to the reception. Audra and Chris shared a romantic first dance. More tears were shed while the couple danced with their parents. A delicious dinner was provided for all by Crafted Taco. The cuisine was excellent featuring delicious taco selections with tons of toppings and sides (it was all good, but the barbecue chicken was my favorite). During dinner the Maid of Honor and Best Man gave toasts to the couple. Great stories by good friends and family made the toasts both heartwarming and funny.  The DJ did an amazing job keeping the party going and the dance floor moving. The evening ended with a sparkler sendoff, and the couple was off to begin their lives as husband and wife.
