Kelly & Chris were my last wedding of 2019, and what a way to end the year! Their event was a lovely weekday evening affair at Castle McCulloch in Jamestown, which is always one of my favorite places to photograph. The day was surprisingly warm for late December, so getting amazing outdoor night shots was a given, with the castle glowing proudly in the background. The ceremony was definitely a treat, and the bride made her grand entrance in song, singing to her soon to be husband as she walked down the aisle. This was a first for me, and definitely something I’ll never forget. After the ceremony, the bride & groom, along with their families, snuck off to do a few portaits while the guests were escorted down to the Queen’s Chambers for a delicious cocktail hour.
The reception was held in the Great Hall, which features beautiful stone and wood beams, a wrought iron rail stair case, and two grand chandeliers, which together lend the venue its fairytale feel. The lanterns that had decorated the aisle now served as the centerpieces for their tables, which were beautifully adorned in wreaths of greenery and votive candles, lending a romantic atmosphere to the space. The guests were treated to a tasty buffet spread by Thyme 2 Cater, and Chris from Big Boy Productions provided some really terrific entertainment. It was a beautiful way to end 2019, and a wonderful beginning for Kelly and Chris as they begin their married lives together.
