A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of photographing Megan and Eric's wedding day at the Grandover Resort and Spa in Greensboro. Let me start by saying, the Grandover is an absolutely stunning venue, with gorgeous architecture, golf course views, beautiful suites, and an impressive lobby. The grounds are meticulously kept, and made for the perfect complement to their wedding day vision. Megan started the day in one of the suites in the hotel for hair and makeup, with Eric on another floor to get ready. Even though it was a little chilly out, we were able to do tons of outdoor portraits and capture some wonderful moments with family, friends, and wedding party.
The venue is gorgeous on its own, but the decor from Beverly's Flowers & Gifts really took the space up a notch, and the wedding cake (by Artsy Cakesy) was not only stunning, but also delicious and made for a great focal point in the room. I think my favorite design element was the way that the cake was topped with the same kind of glass geo terrariums that decorated the tables and were used throughout the space, and also was a nice link to the geometric designs featured on the invitations. I'm also a sucker for a gorgeous statement fireplace and huge windows with a great view, so you can see why this was one of my favorites.
Megan and Eric were so joyful in each other's company and it made for such beautiful, sweet moments - it was truly an honor to capture this part of their love story. Here are a few of my favorites from their wedding day:
