Verne and Nicholas had a beautiful evening ceremony and reception at Castle McCulloch in Jamestown, NC. The venue served as the perfect backdrop for their wedding, which included a few subtle Harry Potter elements (check out the box for their rings, the custom sign in book, and the glowing wand sendoff). There was no shortage of magic that evening for sure, but it was only outshined by the sheer magnitude of joy that these two brought to their day. Everything was approached with excitement and humor, and that comfortable trust that makes everyone involved feel like they're a part of the most amazing, exclusive event ever. It was such a joy to photograph this part of their love story.

I also love being able to do custom edits for our clients, and in this case Verne had a special request to incorporate floating lanterns in one of their images (think Disney's Tangled), which we were happy to create. There's something special about taking a beautiful moment and adding a little magic to it to create a truly custom piece of wall art.
