Recently I had the opportunity to photograph Aryn & Andrew's wedding at Jeter Mountain Farm, which is located just minutes from downtown historic Hendersonville, NC. Surrounded by gorgeous mountain views, the farm is still fully operational with hay cut every year from the fields, over 20 acres of tomatoes grown throughout the summer months, and a new addition of nearly 5,000 apple trees, peach orchard and berry patch.
Aryn & Andrew are the kind of couple that light up a room with their smiles - and light up the room they did! The ceremony took place outside to take advantage of the natural backdrop of the mountains, rolling hills, and blue skies. The couple had their programs printed on fans for their guests, which made a nice and thoughtful touch for their warm wedding day. The ceremony was sweet, romantic, and the perfect start to a happy marriage.
After the ceremony, the guests were treated to a scrumptious cocktail hour (courtesy of Fare of the Heart) while we swept the couple, their families, and the wedding party away for some portraits. The great thing about a venue like Jeter Mountain Farm is that in addition to having some amazing scenic views, as a working farm there are also a lot of cool looking tractors and farm equipment (which we HAD to use for wedding party pictures). It was nice to have this time to hang out with the family, and give everyone a few minutes to relax before the reception began.
Aryn & Andrew and their wedding party started the celebration with an energetic grand entrance (dips, twirls, and awesome dance moves by all), followed by their fun, choreographed first dance to I FREAKING LOVE YOU by Rookie. After the couple shared their first dance, Aryn took the floor once again with her father. Dinner was delicious and gorgeous (catering by Fare of the Heart & Moe's BBQ), and from there on out - it was party time! Pat from Spintastic Sounds kept the dance floor packed for the whole night and for that one perfect evening, it felt like everything in the world was back to "normal." The opportunity to set aside many of the cares and worries of the world right now to just bask in the glow of newlywed bliss is always a treat, and now more than ever it's a reminder to embrace each other (in spirit, because physical distancing) and find the moments of joy.
Congratulations to Aryn & Andrew!
