So this season, the world as we know it decided to do a bit of a 180 and turn everything on its head. As a result, we’ve had the opportunity to photograph tons of more intimate events, and I don’t necessarily feel like that’s a bad thing. I had the opportunity to capture Teresa & Scott’s intimate wedding at Castle McCulloch in Jamestown, NC. One of the things I love about this venue are the gorgeous grounds, and the summer time brings a bright, luscious green to the foliage that just makes for incredibly rich & vibrant pictures. Couple that with the textured stonework of the castle, and it makes for some real magic.

Although the guest list was small, this event was full of fun, laughter, and love. The ceremony was in the Great Hall under Castle McCulloch’s statement chandelier, with candles glowing beautifully to light the aisle. Amongst family and a few friends, the couple exchanged vows and started their own happily ever after. Following the ceremony, the guests headed downstairs to the Queen's Chamber to enjoy a few cocktails, appetizers, and companionship while the happy couple and their family had some fun in front of the camera. In this wedding, it wasn't just a joining of two hearts, it was a blending of two families, all of whom knew how to have a great time!

After portraits we ventured inside so that Teresa and Scott could join their guests to enjoy an evening of food, music, dancing, and great company. Guests were treated to a  delicious dinner by Rosa Mae's Catering, as well as a decadent cake for dessert by Blossoms Florist & Bakery. After dinner, DJ Paul Cordts kept the entertainment full of high energy, while also making sure to take time to focus on some of the important moments - like making sure Teresa and Scott had a chance to enjoy a final candlelight dance before making their exit.
