Attention farmhouse decor lovers! We cordially invite you to look at this Chip-and-Joanna-Gaines-approved wedding venue of your dreams. The Gathering Place in Crowder’s Mountain is in King’s Mountain, North Carolina. On their website, the owners boast of “Breathtaking views at the pond, the bridge with spill-over, swing or old house seat with chimney and stairway will offer a perfect setting for photos”. And boy were they right.
But before the farmhouse party began, we stopped by the First Baptist Church for these two to say “I Do”. The beautiful church was the perfect solemn location for a traditional ceremony. Our cheerful bride, Christie, and her laid-back groom, Austin, wanted to create a wedding day that felt the seriousness of the vows followed up by the energy and fun of the celebration. We think they nailed it!
Once they were husband and wife, we arrived at the rustic wedding venue. As the summer was nearing, the heat was too. It was a beautiful and steamy afternoon. But that did not stop the party from happening! Christie and Austin’s guests and wedding party were not going to let a little summer heat take away from their celebration. They all must have taken a note out of Chip Gaines’ book, “I told myself that I was going to live the rest of my life as if it were Saturday…”
Congratulations Christie and Austin!
