Throughout the last year, we have seen couples get creative in ways they never have before. From recording and broadcasting their ceremonies online (like Isma & João) to organizing reception halls to safely host wedding guests (like Anna & Jerry), our couples have planned their weddings to accommodate all the uncertainty of the times. Let’s just say, our awesome couples have turned a rotten lemon-of-a-year into sugar-rimmed lemon drop martinis. And we are constantly impressed!
Meet Emily and Spencer. These two decided that they didn’t want to leave anyone out of their big day. So they had the brilliant idea of splitting their wedding day down the middle to accommodate their large network of loved ones into two intimate gatherings.
The day started with a family-only ceremony and reception. These two got married at the West Salem Public House in Winston-Salem. Spencer, our solid and wholesome groom, works here. We loved this venue space and how much character it had. Plus, their beer and coffee are pretty darn good! Spencer’s beautiful bride, Emily, stunned in her white ballroom dress. Once they were officially married and celebrated with their family, they had a brief pause before they hosted a second reception party. This time, the reception was for all their close friends to enjoy. We thought this was a fabulous way of adjusting to current circumstances while making all their loved ones feel included in their wedding day joy!
Congratulations Emily and Spencer!
