Recently I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful new venue in Summerfield, NC (only a short drive from Greensboro and in the heart of the triad) called Southern C’s Farm. Featuring a cedar dock & deck extending over a beautiful tree lined lake, the property boasts an exquisite blend of superior craftsmanship and design in every space. Rich in character, this estate is a true sanctuary. Board fenced paddocks, barns, trainers apartment, equipment sheds, kennels and a totally charming "period perfect" 1820's log cabin guest house.

Upon entering the gate, you are greeted by 127 acres of rolling pasture, old oaks, and horses peacefully grazing. Depending on your event size or preferences, each couple can select from a variety of spaces from the lake, to the barn, to the pastures, and old oaks. The property offers a variety of covered and outdoor event spaces for weddings and receptions ranging in size from intimate to larger gatherings.

One of my favorite parts about this venue is that there are so many beautiful backdrops for photographing your special day. The lake-view terrace and gardens are a favorite space and can be tailored to suit everything from an intimate ceremony to a reception or cocktail party. Southern C’s also boasts a fully restored 1820’s log cabin for use on event day. There is also the Lodge at Southern C’s, which has 4 guest rooms, four full bathrooms, a full kitchen, living room, and dining room, and can accommodate up to 10 overnight guests, with many of these spaces offering a picturesque lake view.

Southern C’s Farm offers a variety of special events packages for you to choose from which can include hosting engagement parties, rehearsal dinners and much more. Tables and chairs are included with the base package, along with a six-passenger golf cart and many other awesome amenities (can we talk about the horse drawn carriage for a minute?).
