I had a fantastic time photographing Stephanie & Kelly's wedding at the stunning Willstella Farm in Kernersville, NC. Not only is this venue absolutely gorgeous, but this couple sure knows how to have a party! This whole event from start to finish was so incredibly joy filled, and that is a big part of what makes this so satisfying as a profession. I'm very lucky that the couples I photograph are so genuine and authentic, as those are my favorite things to capture: real, authentic emotions and the most fun and beautiful moments.
I have so many favorite parts of this wedding - the entertainment was amazing (and included some performances by friends and even Kelly got in on the action on the drums), the food was on point, and Stephanie and Kelly's exit from the ceremony was pure magic. They exited their ceremony space by having lavender tossed, and it was just so right for them. That's the thing about these two - everything about them just seems to fit.
I'm so grateful to have been a part of this beautiful beginning for them. Here are a few of my favorites from their wedding day:
The start of the love story, in their own words:
"We met at our lovely friend Gene and Abbey Francis's house during Small group. As Kelly says "As soon as she walked in, something clicked in my head that just said 'oh, there she is!"
After a brief bit of pursuit, an awkward first dinner where Steph was sick and Kelly had to play a gig, a beautiful hike, disagreement about our first date, and two wonderful years of adventures Kelly finally got up the courage to ask Stephanie to be his partner for life!"
