So, 10/10/20 was, like, the most weddingest day of the year. Taylor and Matthew were wed at a lovely intimate ceremony at Castle McCulloch in Jamestown, NC. We photograph a lot of weddings at the castle, but each one is so special and unique. The venue really lends itself to transformation, and we have seen it with no decor all the way up to completely decked out, but there's something about a rainy day at this place that adds a little magic to any event. The weather held off throughout the morning, through their ceremony, and as the guests moved to the covered patio for the cocktail hour - but once they they popped the corks for their champagne tower, the skies opened up in a beautiful, perfectly timed downpour.
Even better, when it was time to return to the Great Hall for a delicious brunch by the Painted Plate, the rain once again stopped so everyone could go and enjoy the feast. Rather than having the traditional cake cutting, Taylor and Matthew opted to have cake pops instead which are not only cute, but really cool looking when on the display too.
Thank you Taylor and Matthew for having me capture this part of your wedding day!
