Jennifer and Allen are a special couple in that they were one of my first weddings back to normal(ish). There was a bit of a long road to get to "I Do" complete with date changes, regulation changes, venue changes, and more. No matter what challenges were thrown at them, Jennifer and Allen met each one with grace and determination. The pair had a beautiful ceremony at the Robinhood Road Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, followed by a picture perfect reception at the Historic Brookstown Inn.
One of the things I noticed the most was that even with all of the regulations and safety measures put in place to protect the couple and their guests, the wedding still felt very whole and complete, including all of the traditions and fun and excitement we've all come to expect at a wedding. It was such an honor and a privilege being a part of capturing such precious memories for Jennifer and Allen, and it was a lot of fun too! My favorite detail from this wedding was their unique unity ceremony - planting a tree together. It's a perfect symbol of a relationship, showing the way that creating a nurturing environment built on trust, perseverance, and faith encourages the marriage to grow and continue to build strength by reaching higher towards the sun and stretching deeper and remaining rooted in each other. There is nothing more romantic than that.
